AFC Bournemouth women’s development squad have progressed to the semi-final of the FA Women’s National League Reserve Cup.

The Cherries have drawn Wolverhampton Wanderers reserves on Sunday 25th February, having overcome Swindon Town development squad and Moneyfields reserves in the earlier stages.

Alongside their impressive cup run, the team are also top of the FA WNL Reserve South West League, having won nine out of their ten matches so far this season.

Speaking about their success so far, head of community and women’s first team manager Steve Cuss told afcb.co.uk: “The development team are enjoying a very good season, with results on the pitch in both the league and cups.

“Importantly, players have the opportunity for continued progression, which has seen players included with the first team throughout the season, both in training and games.”

The women’s development squad are in action at Verwood Town FC on Sunday afternoon at 2pm. Entry, as ever, is free. Their remaining fixtures can be found here
