AFC Bournemouth Women’s Development Squad secured their place in the FA Women’s National League Reserve Cup final on Sunday.

A 1-0 win over Wolves Reserves was enough on the day as the young Cherries side travelled to the midlands for their semi-final fixture.

Elin Starck, who made her first team debut in November’s 4-0 win over Portishead Town at Vitality Stadium, scored the only goal of the game, netting calmly from the spot.

The Cherries will face Oxford United’s Development Squad in the final, with the date and venue still to be set.

Women’s Development Squad manager, David Staddon told afcb.co.uk, “The girls have been fantastic all season and the performance today was excellent. They deserve to have a final to look forward to.”

“We will now focus on our final two league games and hopefully securing the league championship.”

Women’s first team manager and head of community Steve Cuss told afcb.co.uk: “The Development Squad are enjoying an excellent season and reaching a national final is a fantastic achievement for the players and the coaches.”
