Women to play maiden league match at Vitality Stadium

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

AFC Bournemouth Women will play their maiden league match at Vitality Stadium later this season.

Steve Cuss' side will host Chesham United on Sunday 10th April, with kick-off at 2pm for the National League clash.

It will be the team's penultimate game of the campaign as they hope to remain in the hunt for promotion to step three of the women's football pyramid.

The Cherries currently sit second in the table, five points behind leaders Cheltenham Town but with two games in hand. They are currently unbeaten in the league, having won eight and drawn three of their 11 fixtures.

It'll be the first chance for supporters to cheer on the women's team in competitive action at Vitality Stadium and the game will be played in association with partners Bournemouth University, who will celebrate a second BU Big Match of the season.

Ticket prices for the game will be as follows, with sales to go on general sale from 10am this morning.
