AFC Bournemouth Women are pleased to announce the signing of three new players ahead of the new campaign.

Katelyn Wort, Imogen Wade-Palmer and Zoe Rundle all join the club this season, as Steve Cuss’ side look to gain promotion from the Southern Region Women’s Premier League.

The players have already linked up with their new teammates for last weekend’s pre-season trip to Ashbury Manor, partaking in Sunday’s first pre-season friendly over Torquay Ladies.

Wort rejoins the club after spending two seasons with the Cherries in her youth, representing both the under-14s and under-16s before a spell away at Reading.

The centre-back, who will be a student on the Community Sports Trust’s Female Football Education Programme next year, marked her senior debut with a goal last weekend, firing in from 30-yards after slaloming her way through the midfield.

Wade-Palmer arrives from Horndean Ladies, having previously represented Exeter City Ladies and the University of Exeter during her time as a student in Devon.

The 23-year-old also has experience in the Women’s National League, having played for Portsmouth as a teenager.

Also with experience at Pompey is third signing Rundle.

The winger spent eight years at the fellow south coast outfit during her youth and moved into the senior squads before leaving for university a few years ago.

Following the signings, manager Cuss spoke to afcb.co.uk.

“I’m really pleased to welcome all three players to the team,” he said.

“All three will add good quality to the squad, providing good competition for places.”
