Women gearing up for Saints in Cup

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

This weekend it's FA Women’s Football Weekend, and AFC Bournemouth Women are set to take on Southampton FC in the Hampshire FA Women’s Senior Cup.

The match will take place at, Snow's Stadium (postcode SO40 2RW), with a 2pm kick-off and the Cherries will be looking to progress against a Saints Women's team currently playing in the division directly above having pipped the Cherries to the title last term.

Tickets for the game cost £3 for adults and £1 for concessions and can be bought ahead of the game by clicking here.

Supporters are advised that there is no parking for spectators at AFC Totton, with alternate parking for spectators at Calmore Industrial Estate.

Manager Steve Cuss gave his verdict ahead of the tie: "I think it's going to be a tough match, they've started the season very well in the league above us.

"We played them twice last year, two difficult games and I've seen them play as well this year and they have some very good players. We know's it's going to be a tough game but with the run of form we're on at the moment we're pretty confident to go there and give it our best shot.

"Both teams are going well in the league and when I went to watch Southampton before they attracted a good crowd. We've been attracting a few as well so hopefully it will be a good game to watch and people will come out and support the sides."
