AFC Bournemouth Women have been drawn at home to Southampton FC in the first round proper of the FA Cup.

The tie comes after Steve Cuss' side beat National League outfit, Buckland Athletic, 3-1 at Verwood Town on Sunday, with midfielder Molly Clark bagging a hat-trick.

The Cherries had previously beaten Eastleigh, United Services Portsmouth, Moneyfields and Southampton Women FC to progress, with Sunday's win seeing them make the first round proper for just the second time in history.

Following five straight wins, the side are now the only team from the Southern Region Women's Football League left in the draw.

Details of the game and information regarding further league fixtures will be announced on afcb.co.uk as soon as we receive guidance from the Government, FA and other footballing authorities.

AFC Bournemouth Women are proudly supported by two local companies.

Thank you to Bournemouth University for being the front of shirt sponsor and thank you to Vitality for supporting our women’s and girls' setup.
