Two cup ties confirmed for women

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

AFC Bournemouth women have discovered their opponents for two upcoming cup fixtures.

Steve Cuss' side will take on Saltash United in the FA Cup on Sunday 24th October, with kick-off 2pm at Verwood Town.

Due to the Cherries playing in step four of the women's football pyramid, the game will be their first in this year's competition, having entered the FA Cup at a later stage.

A win would take them straight into the first round proper for just the third time in the club's history.

Two weeks later and the side will look to make the last 16 of the National League Cup when they travel to Hashtag United.

The Basildon-based outfit play in the south east equivalent to the Cherries and currently top the table having not lost any of their nine league fixtures so far.

Cuss' team, also unbeaten, have defeated Hounslow and Kent United to set up the tie with Hashtag.

The game will take place on Sunday 7th November at Canvey Island Football Club, with kick-off at 2pm.
