Plenty of action for our female teams this week

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

Catch up on the latest action from the AFC Bournemouth girls teams, with the development squad also in action.

The under-10s continue to enjoy their start to the season playing for AFC Bournemouth.

Last weekend saw them host Pace, with goals from Millie, Marli, Marion and Hattie.

Under-12s: Nine-a-side

A superb performance from the nine-a-side team saw plenty of goals scored against Southampton, with Izzy and Fleur making excellent runs to create good opportunities.

Seni was also strong upfront, taking her chances well, while two long-range goals from Orla from outside the area caught the eye.

Under-12s: 11-a-side

The 11-a-side group also had a pleasing result at home against Whiteley and there was lots of good link up play from all areas of the pitch.

Three early goals set the Cherries on their way, before the visitors pulled one back. However, the was no stopping the side, who took their chances and went on to win the game.

The under-14s ran out 11-0 winners away at Petersfield in the Hampshire Cup.

The deadlock was broken within three minutes, as Faye scored from close range, and the Cherries continued in a ruthless manner.

A 7-0 scoreline at the break ensured the side would progress, but four extra goals were added in the second period to see out the win.

A 6-1 win for the under-16s against Mudeford Pheonix ensured they progressed in the Hampshire Cup.

Despite falling behind early on, the Cherries responded well with goals from Sophie, Anisha and Emily before half-time.

More chances were created in the second half and Teah and Charlotte both scored, while Emily got her second.

Development Squad:

It was a close game for the development squad, who won 3-2 away at Eversley and California, with Lucy Cooper scoring a hat-trick on her debut in senior football.

The hosts pushed Dave Staddon’s side all the way, but it was the Cherries who held on for the three points.
