AFC Bournemouth defeated Buckland Athletic 3-1 to make it into the FA Cup first round for just the second time in history.
Steve Cuss’ team beat the National League opposition, after Molly Clark bagged a hat-trick at Verwood Town to help the Cherries make it through.
The side have now played five fixtures in this year’s competition in order to make it thus far, previously defeating Eastleigh, United Services Portsmouth, Moneyfields and Southampton Women all away from home.
This afternoon’s match was watched by almost 200 spectators, who all cheered from a social distance at Verwood Town.
The Cherries will now go into the hat for the first round draw, which takes place tomorrow at 1pm, but details of the game and information regarding further fixtures will be announced on afcb.co.uk as soon as we receive guidance from the Government and FA.
