AFC Bournemouth Women defeated New Milton Town Ladies 11-0 to progress to the next round of the League Cup.
Rebecca Miles, Meg Vella and captain Hannah Bennett each scored a hat-trick, while Rosie Eden was on hand to add a brace in what was an already remarkable scoreline.
Following the victory, manager Cuss was delighted with his side's attitude and performance throughout the afternoon.
"I'm really pleased with the result this afternoon and the performance in general," he began.
"We had the disappointment of losing our first game this season last week, so I was looking for a positive reaction today and I certainly got that with the performance.
"We dominated from start to finish, and created lots of chances, which we took so I'm really pleased with that.
"It's also about defending properly too and keeping those clean sheets, so I was really happy with us defensively today too. We didn't give them a chance in front of goal and kept the ball well in that area.
"We were disappointed last week because our performance levels dropped in the first half, so we wanted a reaction today and to come out all guns blazing.
"Two goals in the first four minutes did that for us and got us off to a great start."
Cuss also spoke about next week's Hampshire Cup game against Southampton FC and the challenge the game will pose for his players.
"I've been to see them play this season and they're an exceptional side," he continued.
"It'll be a big challenge for us, but those are the challenegs that we want.
"It's another cup competition and we seem to be in the middle of a lot of cup fixtures at the moment, so we can go there off the back of today's result full of confidence and can look for that good performance again."
