Steve Cuss shared his thoughts with afcb.co.uk following his side's 11-0 win against Warsash Wasps on Sunday.
The women went back to the top of the Southern Region Women's Premier League, after goals from Becky Miles (4), Rosie Eden (2), Katie Kingshott (2), Helen Corbin (2) and Alexis Bussell ensured the three points stayed in Dorset.
Following the game, Cuss spoke on the following topics:
The performance
“I’ve got to be really pleased – it was a really good performance. Right from the first whistle, we were on the front foot, we scored two in the first four minutes and didn’t really ease up all afternoon.
“We kept creating chances and it was good to see so many goals scored today.”
The opposition
“Since the turn of the year, Warsash have had some really positive results. I think it was just the start today that gave us the real emphasis to keep going.
“In terms of the opposition, I thought they did very well in the games they’ve played coming into today and their goalkeeper was excellent for them this afternoon, making some outstanding saves.
“They’ve got some good players and the score probably doesn’t reflect them, but I have to say that equally we were outstanding in front of goal today.”
Pushing for promotion
“It’s very tight at the top of the league and after today’s game we’re ahead on goal difference.
“What we want to try and do is give ourselves the best chance of finishing as high as possible. The goals today have been great for us and it really pushes us forward.”
The next few weeks
“I was really pleased that today’s game went ahead and I’m really pleased with the players’ attitude to go with it.
“Everybody has the problems that are going on at the moment and I asked the team to just focus for 90 minutes today and just concentrate on the football. I thought they did that very well.
“In terms of the coming weeks, we’ll have to wait and see what happens in terms of playing any more matches.”
