Manager Steve Cuss has named Hannah Bennett his captain for the 2019/20 season, with Maisy Smith taking up the vice-captaincy role.

The midfielder has been with the Cherries since 2014, having signed whilst studying at Bournemouth University.

She scored 14 goals last season as the side finished second in the Southern Region Women’s Premier League and went on to win the Chairman’s Cup against Moneyfields in May.

Smith, who joined the club last season, has made quite the impact in her two years at the club. She has managed 20 goals during that time, four of which have already come this season as she takes up her new role in the side.

The Women are next in action this Sunday at 2pm, taking on Abingdon United at Potterne Park.
