AFC Bournemouth’s under-21s have learned their fate in the Premier League Cup group stage.
Shaun Cooper’s side have been drawn in Group E alongside Nottingham Forest, Stoke and fellow south coast outfit Southampton.
The Premier League Cup adopts a Champions League format, with four teams in each group and the top two will qualify for the last-16.
The last 16 will then be a straight knockout tournament, if the ties are level after 90 minutes, they go to extra-time and then penalties if the team's remain deadlocked.
Both teams will play each other twice - home and away - at a stadium where their first team or under-23s play.
It is contested between Under-23 teams, with each side allowed three over-age outfield players and a goalkeeper born before 1st January 1994.
Last season, the under-21s made it through the group, but a young side narrowly lost in the knock-out stages to Nottingham Forest, who they will play once again in this year’s competition.
Dates and times for the fixtures, as well as all ticket information, will be released in due course.
