AFC Bournemouth have been handed a home draw in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup.

Alan Connell’s under-18s will meet either QPR or Oldham Athletic at Vitality Stadium, the tie to be played by Saturday 15th January 2022.

The Latics meet the Hoops at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Wednesday (7pm kick-off).

Oldham booked their place in the third round after triumphing 5-3 on penalties against Carlisle – the first-round clash having finished 4-4 – and winning 3-1 at Bradford City in the second round.

The Latics are currently in the bottom half of the North West Youth Alliance and have category-three academy status, the same as the Cherries.

Like the Cherries, QPR were exempt until the third round and play in the Under-18 Professional Development League Two South. The Londoners have category two status.

Connell’s team earned a place in the fourth round after triumphing 2-0 at Exeter City last week thanks to two goals from Michael Dacosta Gonzalez (pictured above).

Ticket information for the game will be made available once a date has been finalised.
