Club partners with Twickets

AFC Bournemouth have joined forces with Twickets to introduce a season ticket resale service for home games at Vitality Stadium.

The service will allow season ticket holders to re-sell their seat to fellow supporters with home Cherries Priority Points, at face value for individual games they cannot attend.

Initially working on a test basis for a small selection of fans ahead of Sunday’s home Premier League fixture against Arsenal, the club will then assess the scheme with the hope of being able to have the service fully operational for all supporters by the start of December.

Supporters who have been invited to participate in the trial run for the Arsenal game have been emailed on an individual basis.

“It is a huge source of frustration when all tickets are issued for our home games but there are then a number of empty seats on a matchday,” explained AFC Bournemouth ticketing manager, Dan Clarke.

“We have been working hard to rectify this and are delighted to have partnered with Twickets to offer flexibility to our season ticket holders if they are unable to attend a game, and allow those with points to take their place.

“Crucially, by ensuring tickets are sold safely and securely at face value, this partnership makes a stand against our fans being exploited in secondary markets.”

Following feedback from other clubs, supporters and ticketing industry experts, AFC Bournemouth identified Twickets as their preferred re-sale platform during the summer.

Twickets has a wide range of partners including Ed Sheeran, Adele, Crystal Palace and the Spice Girls.

The firm is a signatory of the Fan Fair Alliance, offering a secondary ticket market that sells tickets at face value and offers an ethical re-sale option for clubs, enhancing supporters’ buying experiences.
