AFC Bournemouth are pleased to announce Twickets as the club’s official ticket re-sale partner.
Following a successful trial at the end of the 2018/19 season, the club is rolling out the Twickets platform so all season ticket holders can list seats that they are unable to use, enabling more Cherries fans to enjoy Premier League football at Vitality Stadium.
Both the ticket seller (season ticket holder) and ticket buyer (Cherries home points holder) pay a percentage of the ticket value as the sales fee.
Twickets is an ethical fan-to-fan platform with tickets sold at face value or less; a signatory of the FanFair Alliance, this ethical approach to ticket re-sale was a key factor in the club choosing Twickets as their partner.
As the official re-seller for Adele, the Spice Girls and Crystal Palace, the Twickets platform is secure with a number of safeguards in place to ensure that only Cherries fans are able to purchase tickets through the site.
Twickets managing director Richard Davies said: “Twickets want to make it easier for football fans to purchase spare tickets at face value and stop them losing out to touts and secondary sites illegally selling at inflated prices without even guaranteeing entry.
“It’s fantastic to be working with AFC Bournemouth and we believe this new service will enable more fans to be able to see the team play without being ripped off or the fear of a fraudulent ticket.”
