Junior Cherries

Open training session held for Junior Cherries

265 Junior Cherries enjoyed the latest open training session, held at Vitality Stadium this week.

They were treated to entertainment by our Community Sports Trust upon arrival, getting involved in a number of games while waiting for the players.

The youngsters were also given the opportunity to win signed shirts and back-to-school merchandise after showing off their skills and partaking in a raffle.

A football freestyler, magician and face painters were also in attendance, while the Junior Cherries’ charity of the year, Autism Wessex, were introduced to the crowd.

After an hour of fun, the Junior Cherries welcomed players onto the pitch, where they trained for an hour and a half ahead of the weekend’s double header against Lazio and Lyon.

Following the session, the squad and management signed autographs and posed for photos with fans, topping off a great morning in the Vitality Stadium sun.

AFC Bournemouth would also like to thank the Junior Cherries partners: Bournemouth University, Hot Rocks, Splashdown and Lemur Landings.

Junior Cherries can also take advantage of the below offers from our sponsors.

  • Hot Rocks offer kids meals for just £1 for each adult ordering a main course. Hot Rocks will then also donate the £1 to Julia's House hospice.
  • Splashdown offer a £3 discount on entry with a valid Junior Cherries membership card.
  • Lemur Landings also offer £2 off entry at any time.

Splashdown and Lemur Landings were also both present at the event, engaging with the Junior Cherries and handing out vouchers. We'd like to thank them for playing their part in a successful day at Vitality Stadium.
