Junior Cherries enjoy media masterclass

AFC Bournemouth were delighted to welcome 16 Junior Cherries to the latest masterclass, which involved an afternoon in media.

James Hart and Zoe Rundle from the club's media team were on hand to give the young supporters a special insight into life behind and in front of the lens.

To start the afternoon, the Junior Cherries were given the opportunity to listen to Zoe and James' paths into the media industry, with a ten minute introduction.

They were then involved in a mini press conference, chaired by head of community Steve Cuss. The children were able to ask Zoe and James questions about their careers and what they love most about their jobs now.

Once all questions had been asked, the group were split in two as half followed James to the home dressing room to take a look at how different camera shots are set up, while the other half went pitchside with Zoe to try their hand at stadium announcing.

After a quick swap, which allowed all Junior Cherries to see both aspects, the group came back as one, as both elements of the masterclass were put together.

The youngsters were trusted with the camera and linked up to the big screens, so they could see their work projected around Vitality Stadium. Mock interviews also took place for willing participants, before the day ended back in the media suite.

Final questions were asked to both Zoe and James, before the group posed for a photo behind the press conference desk.
