The Class of 81/82 are set to reunite for a special evening at Vitality Stadium during the summer.

On Friday 17th June, supporters are welcome to attend the dinner at a cost of £30pp, which will include a two-course meal with a welcome drink.

The evening, which is sponsored by BH Calibration Services and Garrett Dorset Limited, will be hosted by former Cherries goalkeeper Jimmy Glass.

There will be video footage from the 81/82 campaign played, player interviews with Jimmy and a short quiz.

Squad members including Paul Compton, Kevin Dawtry, Nigel Spackman, Tommy Heffernan, Tony Funnell, Keith Williams, Dean Mooney, Derek Dawkins and Chris Sulley will be in attendance and supporters can collect autographs at the end of the evening.

AFC Bournemouth’s side of the 1981/82 season famously achieved the club’s second Football League promotion following election to the top four divisions in 1923.

With former Chelsea star David Webb at the helm, the Cherries side achieved promotion to Division Three with a fourth-placed finish.

An impressive run at the end of the season which led into the first game of the following also saw the side go on an 18-match unbeaten run, which remains a club record.

To obtain tickets for the Class of 81/82 Dinner, which will be solid on a first-come, first-served basis, supporters can email [email protected] or call 01202 726300 (Option 3).
