Voting is now open for December's Player of the Month award, sponsored by Michael Matthews.

The Cherries end 2021 sat top of the league having secured important wins over QPR and Cardiff City in December, as well as a well-earned point against Fulham.

Dominic Solanke has been in inspired form, netting three goals in five games in the month, including a memorable effort just six seconds into the second half at Craven Cottage.

The forward scored the winning goal against QPR, his glancing header picking out the far corner, and was vital to the win over Cardiff, setting up Ryan Christie for the opener before doubling the Cherries' advantage after a clever one-two with Philip Billing.

Jefferson Lerma returned from suspension in December and has proved how vital he is to Scott Parker's team with two man of the match performances.

The midfielder was the star man against QPR and Cardiff, his fierce effort deflecting off Alex Smithies to find the back of the net for the third goal against the latter.

Finally, opposition teams have found Mark Travers in excellent form this month, the shot-stopper keeping two clean sheets in December.

Travers made a series of trademark saves throughout the month, including a super stop from close range against Middlesbrough and twice thwarting Kieffer Moore of Cardiff.
