AFC Bournemouth will welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Vitality Stadium tomorrow in the Premier League.

Here's three things we learned...

1. Iraola expects a tough Spurs test

Andoni Iraola is under no illusions about the test that Tottenham Hotspur will possess, and he highlighted a host of their players to watch out for.

He told the press: “They have a lot of threats. Everyone is talking about Son, Kulusevski or Richarlison, the offensive players and they are very good.

“Bissouma is playing very, very good football and I think Udogie (pictured below) is very good playing in this position [at left-back], a little bit inside, sometimes outside, attacking the half spaces.

“We have to take care of a lot of things. Obviously, we're still very early days into the season.”

2. He’s excited about the arrival of Tyler Adams

The Cherries welcomed United States captain Tyler Adams to the squad on Sunday and Andoni is excited about working with him.

While he’s recovering from an injury, Andoni believes the midfielder choosing to sign for the club is testament to the progress that is being made at Vitality Stadium.

He said: “I think Tyler is going to be a very important player for us. The way we want to play, he's a very dynamic number six. He’s aggressive, very good without the ball, very good on the ball.

“His signing is good for everyone. For the club, a player with his level wanting to come here, I think it's a very good sign.

“Right now we have to prepare without Tyler. Tyler will be out for some games and we knew it before signing. He hasn't played a game since I think March, so it will take him time to reach his normal level.”

3. Philip contract news is music to his ears

Midfielder Philip signed a new four-year contract on Monday to continue his stay at the club, news that delighted Andoni.

Speaking in the press conference, he enthused: “For us, it's very good news. Very, very good news.

“I think he's a very talented player and also a very good guy. He’s a player, in his situation, that for sure would have other options to choose from.

“I think for him to take the decision to stay with the club is very good also for his teammates, especially with the signing of Tyler.

“You know, very good players wanted to come here to play here to develop, to grow, to do something collectively as a group. I think it's a very good example also for the squad.”
