Andoni Iraola sat down for his weekly press conference ahead of travelling to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
Here are three things we learned…
1. Delighted to have Sinisterra signed
Ahead of the press conference, the club announced that Colombian winger Luis Sinisterra has been signed from Leeds United permanently.
On his arrival, Iraola commented: “It’s good news, obviously.
“When you make a signing, there is some uncertainty because you know they’re a footballer but not them as a person, you don’t know how they’re going to adapt.
“In this case, he has been adapting very well and performing really well.
“When you make a signing knowing much more about a player like we know with Luis, it’s good for the team.”
2. Ünal available for Cottagers test
Following his signing on the final day of the January transfer window, Enes Ünal joined the group for training earlier this week.
The head coach confirmed in his press conference that the Turkish striker was available for selection and would be involved against Fulham.
He said: “They have been difficult days for him because he was looking forward to coming here and starting to train with the team.
“He has been training with us for the last two or three days, and he’s doing well. He will be part of the squad because he is ready to help the team straight away.
“Like with Romain [Faivre], we will have to spend some time now with the info and the things we want from each player.
“Also, he speaks two or three languages, so it has been really easy for him, and I hope this process of the adaptation is quite fast.”
3. Pleased with form on the road
The Cherries have collected 14 points away from home and 13 at Vitality Stadium so far this season.
Asked about playing on the road, the head coach said: “Normally you have more at home; I think we are doing quite well away.
“We are playing well, we are having chances, we are scoring goals. We have not been as good at home, but we don’t change a lot.
“The way we go for the games is pretty similar and we will try to go there and win the game.
“If we cannot, they are very good, we will try to get a point, but it’s not like we play differently away.”
