Scott Parker has provided an injury update ahead of Sunday's trip to Pride Park.

The Cherries are set to face Derby County for a 12pm kick-off in two days time, the game being televised live on Sky Sports.

The fixture will be the side's first for two weeks, with an international break seeing five of the squad jet off to represent their country.

Ahead of the clash with Derby, Parker began by giving an update on the players who missed the 4-0 win over Swansea City.

"Adam Smith will miss out on Sunday," he began.

"He's is on the right track now, he's on the grass and doing work albeit not with the team at the moment. He's certainly progressing in the right way.

"He's doing ball work, doing some physical work and hopefully in the next week or few days, we can integrate him a bit more with the team. We'll see how that progresses.

"As for Jordan, he's still got a bit of an issue. He's immobilised in a boot at the moment.

"Hopefully he comes out of that in the next couple of days and then we can paint a picture of how we go from there."

The former England international, who will come up against Wayne Rooney on Sunday, went on to provide an update on Jefferson Lerma after he played in a mask for both of Colombia's recent internationals.

"Jeff's okay. He damaged his nose in the last game here against Swansea. it was out of line and it just needed to be straightened up which it was.

"He's having to wear a face mask just for that to set.

"Aside from that we're okay. The break came at a good time, it was a time for us to take a bit of rest and recharge a little bit.

"We've been working hard but I feel that we got that balance right and we're in a good place for the middle part of the season."
