Scott Parker has provided an injury update on his squad ahead of the weekend's game against Hull City.

The Tigers, who had a fantastic 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday, travel to Vitality Stadium for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday.

Philip Billing and Ethan Laird both missed last week's trip to Luton Town and the head coach began his injury roll-call with an update on the pair.

"Philip Billing is back in and around the training group," said Parker.

"I'll have to make a late call on that one. He came back two days or so ago, but he's been in and out of things. I don't know exactly where we are with it, but will make a call with that.

"Ethan Laird, however, won't be in contention. I'm not sure he will be for the next game either as we're treading very carefully with him.

"He's on the grass and doing his work, so we'll build him up. We don't want to take risks as it's going to be an important back-end of the season.

"Other than that, everyone is pretty well and healthy. We're nursing knocks and bruises, but we expect that at this stage of the season.

"Aside from those I've mentioned and the long-term injuries, Junior Stanislas and Adam Smith, we're okay."

Parker continued by discussing an eventful week for Jordan Zemura [pictured bottom right], who linked up with his Zimbabwe teammates in Cameroon as they looked to make their mark in the Africa Cup of Nations.

With Norman Mapeza's side now out of the competition, the left-back will return to the club, with Parker hopeful he'll be available for selection this weekend.

"It was a very proud moment for JZ," continued the former England international.

"He was very excited to go away and represent his country. It was disappointing overall that they didn't manage to qualify, but a really proud moment for him and hopefully many more moments like that in his career.

"He isn't back at the moment, he comes back shortly so we'll see how he is.

"Hopefully he will be available, but we'll see how he travels and make a call on that.

"The group have had a strong week so I'll see how it fits and how it works with the group, but, as I say, I'm hoping he'll be available in some capacity."

Parker also said Robbie Brady would not be available against the Tigers.
