Jack Stacey is ready to return for Wednesday's match at Bristol City, while Dominic Solanke also came through his weekend return unscathed and is set to continue.

Full-back Stacey has been missing since the Emirates FA Cup tie at Burnley in February but has been back in training in recent days, with Jonathan Woodgate speaking about him in his pre-match press conference.

"Jack's absolutely fine, he's fit for selection, fit for Wednesday, so I'm pleased," said the head coach. "Him and Smudge (Adam Smith) will be good competition for each other.

"Smudge has been fantastic since I've been here, only missed one game against Burnley, but in the rest he's been very good and I've been happy with him."

Solanke made his comeback from injury in Saturday's win over Watford and came through 80 minutes without ill effect.

"Dom's fine," said Woodgate of his number nine. "I wouldn't have played him for as long as I did but I needed him out there for that amount of time.

"Dom will be absolutely fine for Wednesday, I thought if we'd have made better decisions at times in wide areas and with our movements on Saturday he could have had himself two goals.

"He's going to score goals for us."

Fellow frontman Sam Surridge will be missing for the trip to Ashton Gate, with Woodgate explaining the Academy graduate's current situation.

"Sam's still not right, he can't really get a boot on, his toe's so swollen. We'll just have to wait and see what he's like for the weekend.

"There are no more than that, the squad's fine."
