Team news: Long set to return at Wycombe

Shane Long is back from injury and could be in the squad for Saturday's match at Wycombe Wanderers.

The striker comes back into contention having been on the sidelines with a adductor injury, not playing since the home win over Middlesbrough in early April.

The Cherries kick-off at 3pm at Adams Park, here's how you can follow the match with the club joining the social media boycott this weekend.

Elsewhere in the squad, Lloyd Kelly remains on the sidelines with an ankle problem, limping off in the match away at Millwall and missing last weekend's game with Brentford.

In his pre-match press conference Jonathan Woodgate expanded on the availability in his squad with the weekend's match coming closer into view.

"He's back in contention," the head coach said of Long. "He's not done much training so I'll have to be wary of minutes.

"He's looking okay and running and he's back, the only other ones are Lloyd Kelly and Lewis Cook.

"Hopefully with Lloyd he'll be ready for Stoke, but I won't rush him."

Bournemouth's place in the play-offs was confirmed last weekend, but with their spot in the post season now secured Woodgate spoke about the issue of rotating in the final two games of the regular season.

"We'll maybe make a few changes here and there, I'll assess the players tonight," he explained.

"It's a fine balance really, keeping players fresh and getting minutes for players who need them so they're firing on all cylinders come the play-offs, because you never know what you're going to need."

The Chairboys have to win on Saturday to have any chance of staying in the Championship, but under manager Gareth Ainsworth the Cherries' head coach knows his side will face a real battle.

"Wycombe will be fighting, you can guarantee that," he said. "The players seem to have an unbelievable bond with their manager, you can see that over the years.

"With how well they've done to get into the Championship, they'll be fighting so we'll have to be up for the fight as well."
