Team news: Latest on Zemura pre-Swansea City

Jordan Zemura will miss Saturday's game with Swansea City, the full-back still waiting to discover the extent of his ankle injury.

The full-back missed Wednesday's fixture with Preston North End after needing to be substituted in the win away at Reading last weekend.

In his pre-match press conference Scott Parker gave the latest on the Zimbabwe international.

"He's struggling at the moment with an ankle injury," he said. "We're not fully aware of the full details of it because he's not gone to see the specialist that he needs to see.

"Once he's done that I'll have more information and I can be more precise on exactly what the injury is.

"He'll miss tomorrow's game, but bigger timescales on that I'm just not in a position to give any more information."

There was mixed news elsewhere in the squad relating to recently-absent Adam Smith and Junior Stanislas.

"Smithy's the same, he won't be available for tomorrow's game. Things are progressing well, albeit a little bit slow with him," explained Parker.

"Junior's back training, though he's just been back the last couple of days, there's an option that Junior may be available.

"I'll have to make that call with how I see fit really, thinking of Junior as well in that.

"We've had a lot of games in a short period of time. There's an option there to freshen things up if I feel the need to do that and I have a squad here that's capable of doing that."
