Team news: Late calls on Stanislas, Brooks and Travers

Jason Tindall has said he will have to make late calls on the fitness of Junior Stanislas, David Brooks and Mark Travers.

The trio missed out on the 1-0 win over Norwich, but could be back fit for tomorrow night’s game under the lights against Coventry.

The Cherries travel to the midlands for a 7.45pm kick-off, with the game being televised live on Sky Sports.

Ahead of the fixture, Tindall gave an update on his squad’s fitness.

“We have no fresh injury concerns other than the players were unavailable for Norwich,” he began.

“I’m really pleased with the way that Junior is progressing.

“It’s a 50-50 call as to whether he’ll be involved tomorrow evening. If he’s not involved this weekend, we’re certainly looking to have him back after the international break.

“We’ve not seen too much of Brooksy this week with the virus that he picked up.

“The positive for us is that his Covid test came back negative, but it’s one that we’re going to have to monitor and make a really late call on.

“Mark is due to train for the first time today. Fingers crossed he can come through the session and that he’s available for this weekend.

“If not, it’s another really good opportunity for Will Dennis to be involved in the squad, but we’re hoping to have Mark available.”

Tindall also spoke on the fitness of Lloyd Kelly, who picked up a hamstring injury in the Carabao Cup defeat to Manchester City last week.

“Lloyd is doing really well, I’m pleased with the way he’s progressing.

“It was the best outcome really with what the injury could’ve been and we’re hoping to have him back very, very soon.”
