Team News: Kelly returns and Anthony starts

Lloyd Kelly is back in the starting line-up as AFC Bournemouth prepare to take on Cardiff City at Vitality Stadium this evening.

The defender returns to the side after missing the 1-0 win over QPR with Covid-19, having last played against Middlesbrough in the final fixture before Christmas.

Jaidon Anthony also comes into the side for Junior Stanislas. The latter started his first game since October at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium but drops to the bench today.

Mark Travers will be looking to keep his 12th clean sheet of the season, while Dominic Solanke is going for his 19th goal of the campaign up the other end of the pitch.

Jordan Zemura retains his position at left-back, having recovered from injury in the final game before Christmas, with Jefferson Lerma also starting having returned from suspension against QPR.

On the bench, Leif Davis and Chris Mepham provide defensive options, with Emiliano Marcondes and Ben Pearson giving more depth in midfield.

Junior Stanislas and Jamal Lowe could bring an attacking flare to the game should Scott Parker look to his bench at any point.

Cherries XI: Travers, Stacey, Cahill, Kelly (C), Zemura, L.Cook, Billing, Lerma, Christie, Anthony, Solanke.

Bench: Nyland, Mepham, Davis, Pearson, Marcondes, Stanislas, Lowe.
