Team news: Cook & Kelly ready for Potters

Defensive duo Steve Cook and Lloyd Kelly are back and ready to be involved in Saturday's Championship match with Stoke City.

Skipper Cook missed last weekend's trip to Wycombe Wanderers with a bad back but is now fit to play, while Kelly comes back into the reckoning after recovering from the ankle injury that saw him hobble off at Millwall last month.

There remains a question mark over the fitness with Junior Stanislas, however, the winger suffering a hamstring injury at Adams Park last Saturday.

In his pre-match press conference, Jonathan Woodgate spoke about his squad and who's likely to play the 46th and final game of the regular season in the Championship.

He said: "Cookie is back in, Lloyd Kelly's back in, we're just waiting on scan results for Junior to see how he is. And Lewis Cook is still injured.

"We've got a couple of players out at the minute, which is a blow. All the others are fine."

There were six changes to Woodgate's team at Wycombe, and the head coach remained tight-lipped over his plans for the line-up at Vitality Stadium.

"Let's see," he said. "I made those changes because I needed to get those players in case we get injuries - I needed them to be up to speed in the game against Wycombe.

"They scored an absolute worldie but when I watched the game back we made enough chances in that game to win it. I've looked back and we need to take those chances.

"I'll pick the team according to what I think should win the game. Let's see what we do."
