Ahead of the upcoming international break, the AFC Bournemouth first team squad are heading to Dubai for a mid-season training camp.

Eddie Howe will use the forthcoming week to put his players through their paces in a warmer climate in the Middle East.

And speaking to afcbTV following Saturday’s Premier League win over West Bromwich Albion, Howe is hopeful that the change in environment can benefit his players once again ahead of the season’s run in.

“We’ve done these warm weather training camps at the exact same time during the last two seasons,” Howe said.

“We feel it has been of benefit for us in the past. Last season we came back from a break at this stage of the season and put together a really good run of results.

“With the weather that we have here, and the fact that we have a lot of our players away on international duty, we feel that it is wise to change the environment the players are training in.”
