Siriki starts against former club Peterborough

Siriki Dembele was restored to the AFC Bournemouth starting line-up against his former club Peterborough United for tonight’s Championship clash at Vitality Stadium.

Dembele scored 31 goals in 148 games in all competitions for Posh, his exploits helping them win promotion from League One last season.

The exciting frontman has already made an impact for the Cherries, netting a dramatic late winner to seal a comeback victory at Blackpool on his full debut last month.

He was drafted in as Cherries head coach Scott Parker made three changes following the Cherries’ 2-1 defeat against Preston North End on Saturday.

Ryan Christie, who came off the bench at Preston following a three-week injury layoff, and Jack Stacey were also named in the starting line-up.

Stacey came in for Adam Smith, who served the first of a three-match ban, while Dembele and Christie replaced Jaidon Anthony and Jamal Lowe, who were named on the bench.
