September Player of the Month: Voting open

Voting for the Michael Matthews AFC Bournemouth Player of the Month award for September is now open.

Supporters can now have their say on which Cherries player they feel deserves the club’s monthly, with four players nominated for the award for their performances throughout the course of the month.

Joshua King scored an extra time winner in the Carabao Cup game against Brighton & Hove Albion and was also on target against Everton and is in contention for the award.

Another player on the scoresheet in September was Andrew Surman. His goal in the league game against Brighton helped turned the game on its head and secure the Cherries’ first league win over the season, with the midfielder also turning in impressive performances against Everton and Leicester.

Jordon Ibe played a key role in the two games against Brighton. He came off the bench in the league game against the Seagulls to set up both goals in the 2-1 victory, whilst also impressing from the off in the Carabao Cup game.

Nathan Ake, winner of August’s Player of the Month award, is the final nominee. The Dutch international was impressive in helping to keep a clean sheet against Leicester, and featured in all four of the club’s Premier League games during the month.
