Ryan Fraser wins Supporters' Player of the Year

Ryan Fraser has been crowned the AFC Bournemouth Supporters’ Player of the Year for the 2018/19 season.

Scotsman Fraser has had his most prolific Premier League campaign to date, being involved in 20 of the Cherries goals in the league so far (13 assists, seven goals.)

He is also on the verge of setting an all-time Premier League record alongside Callum Wilson. The pair are just one goal combination away from matching the record of Chris Sutton and Alan Shearer all the way back in 1994/95.

Fraser and Wilson have however broken that record for a 38-game Premier League season, combining 12 times.

Individually, the 25-year-old’s 13 top flight assists is not only the most a Cherries player has ever amassed in a Premier League season, but also not one single player from any other club has more than him this campaign.

Supporters have voted Fraser as their winner with 37% of the overall vote.
Nathan Ake, who has made more clearances than any other Premier League defender this season, came second with 26%, while David Brooks’ impressive first season at the top of English football earned him third place with 22%.

Brooks however was successful in the Junior Cherries Player of the Year vote, which was voted for by Junior Cherries members.

He claimed the award ahead of second placed Fraser, with Ake finishing in third.

Both players will be presented with their awards on the final home game of the season against Tottenham Hotspur - the players will be wearing the new kit which supporters can purchase here.
