Ryan Fraser Scoops September Michael Matthews award

Written by Iain Pearce

Ryan Fraser has won his second successive Michael Matthews Player of the Month award winning the fans' vote for September.

Fraser played every minute in the Premier League across the month, creating headlines with another terrific performance in the 4-2 home win over Leicester City, with Wee Man scoring twice and grabbing an assist as the Cherries continued their fine start to the season.

Over a thousand fans had their say in our Twitter poll, and from the votes cast Fraser was the runaway winner gaining 76% of the vote, followed by Callum Wilson (12%), Joshua King (7%) and Adam Smith (5%).

The Scotland international's recognition comes after he also secured the fans' vote for their August Michael Matthews Player of the Month, Fraser looking for a hat-trick during October.
