We are delighted to announce that Ryan Christie has signed a new contract with the club, extending his stay at AFC Bournemouth until 2027.

Ever since signing for the Cherries on deadline day in 2021, the Scotland international has become a crucial member of the squad at Vitality Stadium.

In his first season on the south coast, Christie was an important figure in the side that won promotion from the Sky Bet Championship, playing 38 league games.

He then continued his form in the Premier League in 2022/23, helping the Cherries stay in the top flight.

This season, he’s been a key figure under head coach Andoni Iraola and helped Scotland qualify for Euro 2024 this summer – with 43 caps for his country so far.

AFC Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said: “We’re delighted Ryan is extending his stay with the club.

“He has been an important part of our squad since he joined us and has unique attributes, none more so than his high level of tactical intelligence.

“Ryan is a model professional on and off the pitch and he’s an extremely popular member of the dressing room.

“We’re looking forward to seeing him continue to make an impact at Vitality Stadium for the next four years.”
