Ref watch: Scott in charge at St Mary's

Graham Scott will take charge of AFC Bournemouth’s Premier League clash with Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.

Scott has been a member of the Select Group of referees since 2015/16 and has officiated more than 340 games in his career.

He was in the middle for Manchester United’s 2-1 win over West Ham earlier this month, his 50th game in the Premier League.

Scott has taken charge of three Southampton games this season – a 0-0 draw against Burnley in August, a 2-1 win over Everton in January and a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal in February.

The 51-year-old has yet to referee a Cherries game this season but was fourth official for the visit of Fulham at the weekend.

Scott joined the National List at the start of 2008/09 and took charge of his first Premier League game in November 2014, a 1-1 draw between Burnley and Aston Villa.

His first Cherries game was a 0-0 draw with Rotherham in October 2008, while he was also in the middle for a 2-1 defeat at Chesterfield in May 2010, the final match of the club’s League Two promotion-winning campaign.

Scott will be assisted at St Mary’s by Mick McDonough and Neil Davies, while David Coote, who took charge of the Cherries’ 1-0 defeat by Fulham on Saturday, is fourth official.
