Lee Probert will be the man in the middle for the weekend’s trip to Newcastle.

The Cherries are set to play Rafa Benitez’s side on Saturday, with a 3pm kick-off scheduled.

So far this season, Probert has taken charge of five Premier League fixtures, handing out 16 yellow cards, two red cards and awarding three penalties.

Two of those matches have featured Eddie Howe’s side, with the 46-year-old firstly taking charge of the 2-2 draw with Everton, before officiating the stalemate with Southampton.

Last season, he took charge of five Cherries fixtures, including the 4-0 win over Huddersfield and the 3-0 win over Chelsea.

On Saturday, Probert will be assisted by Simon Beck and Andy Garratt, with Craig Pawson the fourth official.
