Ramsdale voted October Player of the Month

Aaron Ramsdale has won the Michael Matthews Player of the Month award for October.

The 'keeper has played every minute of the previous three Premier League games, keeping his first two clean sheets in the top flight.

The England under-21s shot-stopper made some big saves against both Norwich and Watford to keep the opposition at bay and ensure his side didn't concede.

As a result, Ramsdale has now made a total of 32 saves in the Premier League this season and was rewarded with a new long-term contract for his efforts.

He beat off competition from Steve Cook, Nathan Ake and Philip Billing, winning the poll on Twitter with 56%.

The youngster will receive his award from Michael Matthews representatives on the pitch ahead of Saturday's game with Manchester United.
