A look at the career of Morgan Rogers, who has joined the Cherries on loan for the 2021/22 season from Premier League champions Manchester City.

A talented 19-year-old attacking player, Rogers can play anywhere across the front three.

Born in Halesowen, Rogers progressed through the ranks at West Bromwich Albion, having signed from Halas Hawks Junior FC aged nine.

Rogers was a regular in the England youth teams, finishing top scorer for England under-17s in the 2018 Syrenka Cup in Poland, scoring a hat-trick in the final as they defeated Belgium.

He made his professional debut for West Brom in February 2019 aged just 16, in a FA Cup tie against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The attacker featured for West Brom in their 2018/19 FA Youth Cup campaign, impressing in a semi-final clash with Manchester City to the extent that the Premier League giants agreed a substantial fee to sign him.

Rogers became a regular for City’s under-23 side before agreeing to join League One Lincoln City on loan in January 2021.

He made his debut against Peterborough United on January 9th before scoring his first goal for the club when he netted the winner against Portsmouth at Fratton Park on January 26th.

His impressive form continued as he scored three goals in seven games in March and he was named the EFL young player of the month.

Rogers will now have a first crack at the Championship during his loan season with the Cherries.
