Talented winger Dango Ouattara became the first signing of the Bill Foley era when he arrived in January 2023.

He was born in February 2002 in Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso, and began his career in the academy system of Majestic FC.

His first call-up to the first team came in the Coupe de France fixture with Le Puy Foot, being an unused substitute.

The winger signed his first professional contract on 20th May 2021 and made his senior debut for the club against AS Saint-Etienne, which finished in a 1-1 draw.

In his breakthrough season, Ouattara made 25 appearances, scoring his first goal in April 2022 against FC Metz, tucking home the winner.

His form earned him a spot in the Burkina Faso side for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, scoring the winning goal against Tunisia in the quarter final.

Ouattara’s continued his good form into the 2022/23 campaign, and he became a key man for Lorient as they pushed for European qualification.

He scored six goals in 18 games for the side, also adding six assists, as the French side made a brilliant start to the season.

Ouattara joined the Cherries in January, the club securing his signature despite widespread interest in the Premier League and across Europe.
