AFC Bournemouth will complete their pre-season schedule with a home friendly against Italian giants SSC Napoli.

The Cherries will host Gli Azzurri at Vitality Stadium on Sunday, 6th August, (7.30pm kick-off) – six days before the start of the 2107/18 campaign.

Napoli finished third in Serie A last season, while also reaching the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia and the round of 16 in the Champions League – knocked out by eventual winners Real Madrid.

Managed by Maurizio Sarri, they boast a squad full of established internationals including the likes of Slovakian playmaker Marek Hamsik and Belgian forward Dries Mertens.

The Napoli fixture is a sixth, and final, pre-season friendly for Eddie Howe’s side, with trips to Portsmouth, Queens Park Rangers and Yeovil Town, a home game against Valencia, and a fixture against Estoril on neutral soil, already confirmed.

Ticket details for AFC Bournemouth’s friendly against Napoli will be announced in due course.
