AFC Bournemouth v Everton

Premier League
Vitality Stadium

Following a 2-1 win over West Ham United, the Cherries are back in action against Everton tomorrow. Last season, Eddie Howe's side took all three points against the Toffees, with a Ryan Fraser double securing the victory.

Everton have had a strong start to the season and remain unbeaten after their opening two games. Following a mixed campaign last year, which saw Sam Allardyce take over in November, the Toffees will be looking for a solid 2018/19 with a top-half finish essential.

Last time out

Everton 2-1 Southampton

Last weekend saw the Toffees host Southampton at Goodison Park after an opening day draw at Wolves.

Goals from Theo Walcott and the in-form Richarlison sealed the win, but it wasn't without a second-half fight from Southampton as Danny Ings bagged his first goal for the club.

Everton now sit comfortably on four points in the Premier League table and will be looking to record their first away win of the season on Saturday.

Everton: Pickford, Coleman, Holgate, Keane, Baines, Gueye, Schneiderlin (Davies 24), Walcott, Sigurdsson, Richarlison (Niasse 86), Tosun (Calver-Lewin 75).

2017/18 top scorer: Wayne Rooney (11 goals)

Team news

Marco Silva revealed in his pre-match press conference that Yerry Mina and Morgan Schneiderlin will miss out on the trip to Vitality Stadium through injury. The latter came off injured during last week's win over Southampton, consequently facing a spell on the sidelines.

New signing Andre Gomez will also have to wait for his Toffees debut, with Silva ruling him out yesterday, but both Kurt Zouma and Lucas Digne will be fit for the game.

The manager

Marco Silva is becoming a well-known name in English football's top flight, having managed Hull City, Watford and now Everton.

The 41-year-old also has previous experience abroad, having taken charge of the likes of Estoril and Sporting Lisbon too.

Top stat

In Everton's three Premier League fixtures at Vitality Stadium, the Toffees have never come away with three points, drawing one and losing two of their fixtures down south.
