Arnaut Danjuma was AFC Bournemouth’s goal hero as they registered a 1-0 win over in-form Championship high-fliers Watford.

Danjuma settled the issue in favour of the Cherries when he applied a fine finish after fastening on to Steve Cook’s free-kick in the 61st minute.

It was the Dutchman’s seventh goal of the season and took Jonathan Woodgate’s team into fifth place ahead of the 3pm kick-offs.

Watford, who arrived at Vitality Stadium boasting a four-match winning run, had teenage striker Joao Pedro sent off for picking up two bookings in quick succession in stoppage time.

The Cherries were also reduced to ten men when substitute Jack Wilshere saw red for collecting two yellow cards after Pedro had departed for an early bath.
