Lowe on target for Reggae Boyz

Jamal Lowe more than played his part for Jamaica in their CONCACAF Nations League fixture against Suriname on Tuesday evening.

The forward scored his side's third goal as the Reggae Boyz cruised to a 3-1 win at the National Stadium in Kingston, their first victory in Group A.

Lowe's strike came 69 minutes in, with his side already 2-1 up. Ravel Morrison and Junior Flemmings had ensured Yanic Wildschut's opener was cancelled out for the visitors by half-time.

After some good play, Lowe then gave Jamaica some room to breathe as Shamar Nicholson set the ball for him to finish coolly and calmly beyond Warner Hahn from close range.

Elsewhere, Nathan Moriah-Welsh played the final 18 minutes of Guyana's 2-1 win over ten-man Bermuda.

Also competing in the Nations League, Omari Glasgow got the all important goal at the Synthetic Track and Field Facility, making it two wins in four days for the Golden Jaguars.

Finally, James Hill was on the bench as England U21s secured their place at next year's European Championships.

Folarin Balogun scored a brace, while Cameron Archer also got on the scoresheet in a 3-0 win over Albania.

Due to the head-to-head rule, the victory means that the Young Lions will top the group even if second-place Czech Republic win their final game in Group G.
