Jefferson Lerma came off the bench to play a key role in Colombia’s 2-0 Copa America victory over Argentina on Saturday evening.
The Cherries midfielder was named on the bench for the Group B clash in Salvador, Brazil.
With Colombia leading by a single goal, Lerma replaced Juan Cuadrado in the 64th minute. He then provided the assist for Duvan Zapata’s goal following a powerful overlapping run and pinpoint cross from the byline.
Lerma was also booked in stoppage time, after a coming together with Lionel Messi.
Colombia are next in action against Qatar on Wednesday evening.
