The start

Blackburn represent the first home hurdle for the Cherries on Saturday 12th September, with a long journey to the Riverside and Middlesbrough following the next weekend.

Norwich City represent a tough-looking second home game, with Coventry City at St Andrew's and a home match with QPR rounding off the first five games.

Carabao Cup

While Jason Tindall's side will be looking for a fast start in the league, September also introduces a busy run of Carabao Cup games to the schedule.

The Cherries will enter at the second round stage, and if they progress is far as the fourth round they will have matches on three consecutive midweeks in September.

Festive period

The busy Christmas schedule starts on December 19th with a trip to play Luton Town at Kenilworth Road, with Millwall the visitors to Vitality Stadium on Boxing Day.

A trip to Brentford's new home is the last fixture of 2020, with the new year seen in with an away game to Stoke City.

Easter deja vu

Easter weekend echoes the opening to the season with Middlesbrough visiting Vitality on Good Friday, before the Cherries travel to Blackburn Rovers on Easter Monday.

The run in

The season ends with a match against Stoke City at home on Saturday 8th May, and in the lead up to the final game trips to Norwich City and Millwall are on the agenda.

After those two games, Brentford (h) and Wycombe Wanderers (a) complete the run in.

Supporters

The situation surrounding supporters being allowed into stadiums for the new season remains unclear at the time of writing, with AFC Bournemouth still under guidance from the Government, the SGSA and the relevant footballing authorities.

The club would like to thank fans for their patience and understanding at this challenging time, and we look forward to welcoming supporters back to games when it is safe to do so.
