AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

Three of AFC Bournemouth’s players were in international action throughout the course of Saturday’s fixtures.

Ryan Fraser played the full 90 minutes for Scotland in their narrow 2-1 UEFA European Championship qualifying win against Cyprus Hampden Park.

The Cherries’ Player of the Season was instrumental in the late winning goal, delivering a dangerous cross after cutting back infield from the left flank. Oliver Burke was on hand to convert after seeing an initial effort come back off the woodwork.

After three games in Group I, Steve Clarke’s side are tied for second place with Russia on six points.
Chris Mepham and David Brooks were also in UEFA Europena Championship qualifying action, featuring in a 2-1 defeat against Croatia in Osijek.

Mepham played the full game, whilst Brooks scored a deflected shot from range in the 77th minute after appearing as a second-half substitute.

Defeat leaves Wales with three points after two games in Group E.
