Internationals: Brad Smith to miss Confederations Cup

The left-back sustained the injury during the Socceroos’ 3-2 World Cup qualifying victory over Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

Australia will be one of eight teams travelling to Russia for the Confederations Cup, which starts later this month.

Elsewhere, on Friday incoming AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic kept a clean sheet as Bosnia-Herzegovina were held to a 0-0 World Cup qualifying draw against Greece.
