Injury News: Updates on Tavernier, Traorè and Moore

Gary O'Neil has delivered his latest injury update ahead of the weekend's fixture against Chelsea.

The Cherries welcome Frank Lampard's side to Vitality Stadium for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday afternoon in what is the penultimate home game of the season.

The head coach started with Marcus Tavernier, who was forced off shortly after scoring the winner against Southampton at St. Mary's Stadium.

"With Marcus Tavernier, we're still not clear on how long it will be," began O'Neil.

"If we were scrapping and desperate to stay in the Premier League, I still wouldn't be sure how long it'll be. We haven't had enough information back to tell you when it would be.

"Obviously, given the situation, there'll be no rush. If it's three weeks but it needs to be four, then we won't rush it.

"If we were scrapping around for points, it would need to be three! So we'll see how things go over the next few weeks.

"At the moment, my main concern with Tav is that he's absolutely spot on by 1st July, but that doesn't mean we've seen the end of him this season. It could only be two weeks, so we'll see."

O'Neil went on to discuss the progress of Hamed Traorè and Kieffer Moore. The Ivorian hasn't featured since April's defeat to Brighton, while the latter came off last weekend with concussion.

"Tav is muscle injury which is one that he's had a few times, but Traorè is a contact injury. Hopefully we see Hamed back on the pitch this season.

"Kieffer Moore also isn't available for tomorrow with his concussion. He's been able to do some training within what's allowed, but the last game was Sunday, so it means he wouldn't be available tomorrow."
